Every time you try your hand in the world of mixology, you find yourself face-to-face with dozens of experiments: syrup additions, cordials, fresh fruit... the important thing is to keep these 3 main ingredients: ice, prosecco and soda.
You should know that Elderflower liqueur is a very recent product, launched in 2007 under the name of "St-Germain", although it is said to be an invention attributable to the Dutch.
From this product's boom on the global market we can show you what is actually the best-known and most appreciated cocktail based on Elderflower liqueur today: the Hugo Spritz!
- ABV: 13%
Ingredients:
- 2 oz. Elderflower Liqueur
- 3 oz. Prosecco
- Top with Soda water
Build in a wine glass filled with ice; stir gently.
Garnish: Mint sprig
Look: Golden
Aroma: Fresh
Taste: Sweet and sparkling
History: It was created in 2005 as an alternative to the original Spritz and was made with molasses. The recipe changed after the invention of St Germain.
