The exception that proves the rule!

ABV: 13.5%

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz. Campari bitter
  • 1 oz. Sweet vermouth
  • Top with prosecco or another sparkling wine

Build in a rocks glass filled with ice; stir gently.

Garnish: Orange slice.

Look: Vermillion red.

Aroma: Scent of herbs and roots.

Flavour: Fruity with a point of bitterness.

History: This cocktail comes from an involuntary twist on the "Negroni" cocktail, when back in 1972 at the Bar Basso in Milan, a bartender mistakenly poured Prosecco instead of gin in the making of the cocktail.
